Happy Wedding Wednesday y'all!! Back at it with a recap from last week's bachelorette party in Charleston! If you follow me on instagram (which if you don't you should) you may have caught wind that I went on a bachelorette party in Charleston last week!
We ended up ordering pizza and getting it for free. Yall that was like $40-$50 of pizza and we got it for free! Domino's royally screwed up and comped our entire order of 3 pizzas, cheesy bread and sodas! Every bride needs a veil and sash! Friday night we decided to go to a place in Mount Pleasant, where we were actually staying, called Red's Ice House. It was a pretty cool bar, they said there was live music but we didn't see any. We had a veil and 2 sashes for Erin to wear whenever she wanted. She didn't wear the veil out but did wear it around the house!
We tried out another bar called Shelters, which was just a corner and a street across from Red's and that was such a fun place! It was more upbeat and had a DJ. They also had a cookie dough beer by New Belgium and it was absolutely delicious! Not to sweet but just sweet enough at the end. By about 12:30-1am we were exhausted so we headed home to get some sleep!
Saturday was a big day for us, we made plans to get brunch at a cute little spot in Mount Pleasant called Page's Okra Grill. We were really excited because one of the bridesmaids friends made us all Brunch sweatshirts to wear (check her out - Small Town Caviar).
Y'all this brunch spot was delicious and was so cute! They had an inside/outside spot so we enjoyed our brunch inside and ventured outside to finish off our crafts of mimosas! I don't typically do many mimosas, maybe 1, but I was brunchin' that day so we had quite a few. I had never really gone to brunch and I like it...I will do it way more often now!
Everyone loved all of our sweatshirts! They all had a different saying and they were definitely a good idea! I really liked the idea of these because it wasn't the typical bachelorette party outfit ideas like tanks that say "bride tribe" and what not!
After brunch, we ran a few errands like picking up some more champagne and OJ for more mimosas! I'm telling you these sweatshirts made us want to brunch hard. We hung around the house the rest of the afternoon playing Cards Against Humanity and Catch Phrase. We were going to dinner in Charleston that night so we just relaxed. After everyone was finally ready, 9 girls with 3 bathrooms is tough, we did a little lingerie shower for Erin and she had to guess which pair everyone gave her, she as awful at that! Then we put on our tattoos and took a few fun pictures!
Photo props are definitely a must at any party but most certainly at a bachelorette party! One of my favorite decorations of the bachelorette trip was the Photo Prop. I had seen tons of people have them at weddings or other events before and loved them! It was a huge hit for pictures before going out!
We made dinner reservations at Stars Rooftop & Grill Room and it was amazing! They had a little bit of everything from a burger to prime rib. I got the prime rib and it was not a disappointment. I was a little disappointed my drinks were so expensive, but that is how Charleston is.
After dinner, we headed up to the rooftop bar they had and it would have been a fun place to stay had it not been so cold and windy. So we went to a dueling piano bar and ended our night out there. We went home and ended our night a few hours later after talking and just having a good time.
Sunday morning came way too early and back home we went. The day you go home is always the worst! Until next time Charleston!
