Book Review { Gone Girl }

Synopsis: On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?

I know, I am a little late to reading this book but like I have mentioned before I really wasn't into ready the past few years. But now that I am, I knew this was one of the books I had to read! I haven't seen the movie and purposely never read any reviews of it because I knew I wanted to read it at some point.

This book was so intriguing and it had me always wondering what would happen next; it definitely went in a direction I would have never guessed. There were many many times in the book that I just wanted to skip just a little to the back and see what happened, I typically do that with shows read ahead and see what happens, but I stopped myself because I didn't want to ruin it for myself. I like watching shows about crimes and murders, but have never really read a novel about one. At first I was worried I wouldn't be as interested but boy did this book keep me interested!
