52 Week Blogging Challenge { Week 10: A Day in the Life }

WEEK TEN: A Day in the Life

Not going to lie, my weekdays are pretty boring. Wake up, exercise, drink my coffee, get ready for work, go to work, come home, eat dinner, go to gym then go to bed. Monday - Thursday that is how my days go; but it is life. So I wanted to share with you all a day in the life during the weekend. My weekends are never the same. Sometimes I have a full packed weekend and sometimes, like this past weekend, I have a relaxing weekend. So let's get to how this past Saturday went for me!

8:00 AM
Usually on the weekends we like to try and sleep in, so this is sleeping in for me. Timmy and I didn't have a late night Friday night so we were tucked in bed by about 9pm so we got a good nights sleep Friday night. On the weekends after we wake up, we like to lay in the bed for about 30 minutes get some morning snuggles with Bailey in and slowly wake up before we start our day.

8:40 AM
It was time for me to get out of bed, Timmy was cutting his hair in the bathroom so the noise forced me to get up. Coffee was being made and a load of laundry went into the wash.

9:00 AM
It was couch time. We didn't have anything planned for the day because we just wanted to hang out at the house together because Timmy was going out for a bachelor party tonight so we wanted to spend some time together doing nothing and relaxing. So we started Fuller House.

10:00 AM
It was DIY time! Mary posted about a bar cart she found on another blog and an Ikea hack. I had been searching for a simple bar cart and as soon as I saw her post, that baby was on its way to my house! Well, it arrived on Friday night so I had Timmy put it together so I could paint it this weekend. (Notice, I got a little more comfy and curled up with a blanket while Timmy worked)

11:00 AM
We then went to town priming this baby to get it ready for us to spray paint it gold!

11:30 AM
If you have been keeping up or participating in the Instagram Challenge I am co-hosting you saw that I had the most delicious leftovers for lunch Saturday. It was date night Friday night which meant yummy leftovers for us!

12:00 PM
It was back to watching Fuller House. Timmy had made his way down to the Gutter (our little bar area by the pond) to watch the State game. I got a little workout in and then went back to the couch.

1:30 PM
I went to go take Bailey out and there was a package at my door! I LOVE packages and was waiting for this one. It was our gallery wall frames to go above our bed. We have been waiting a long time to find the perfect wall art to go above our bed, so this weekend I knocked out something on my 101 in 1001 list! Since the frames were here I decided to check the mail to see if our wedding pictures were here that I ordered for the frames and some of them were! All but the 4x6s that I ordered! So I spent my afternoon picking out what picture would go where and hanging up the frames. Thankfully the gallery wall came with a huge poster that I could tape on the wall with there to hammer the nails...makes everything so much easier!

That was the final product for our bedroom. I am just waiting on the 4x6s. After I finished with our bedroom project, I went to tackle the rest of the gallery wall in our breakfast room. I have had those frames hanging up since last Spring but never got around to putting some pictures in the frames so I finished that and now all my frames that are around my house ALL have photos in them!

4:00 PM
It was time to shower and get ready for the night. Timmy was getting ready for his night and I was going to have a girls night with another one of the guys wife that was also going out for the bachelor party.

5:00 PM
Dropped Timmy off at my dads house (yes my dad is the one who planned the bachelor party) and went to the grocery store to get some crackers and cheese for a little appetizer before dinner. I got to Joy's house about 6 and enjoyed a nice glass of wine while she cooked and we chatted.

7:00 PM
Dinner was ready and it was absolutely delicious! Joy made her own alfredo sauce and I don't think I will ever buy jar alfredo sauce again! She made us Shrimp Alfredo.

9:00 PM
It was chilly outside so Joy made a fire and I was impressed with her fire skills. Timmy is the one who keeps up with fire in our house but she was able to start the fire and keep it lit. We spent a little time by the fire before it started to rain and went back inside enjoyed a few more glasses of wine, then it was time for me to go to bed.

12:30 AM
I got home, took Bailey out and went straight to sleep!

Hope you enjoyed my Saturday! It started off going to be a relaxing day of do nothing but it ended up being a full day of productivity!

I agree weekends are much more fun to share, and honestly I didn't even think to keep track during the week. It looks like you had a good weekend. I'm so glad you like the bar cart, and I still can't believe I forgot to paint ours before putting it together. But I'm def. still gonna do it. It looks like it turned out great. Isn't Fuller House fantastic? Thomas and I watched it in one weekend! :)

Sounds like your week is the same as mine. Maybe with different tv viewing. By the way love the picture art on your wall.

My weekends consist of sleeping as about as late as you are able to. During the week, we are up by 5, so three hours extra is pretty nice! However, our weekends are never laid back once we are up. My husband only gets one day off a week, so we work together to accomplish whatever is on his To-Do List that needs to be done.

How fun is this! So far I've only watch 2 episodes of Fuller House but loving the cheesy, nostalgia feeling it gives me. I love the challenge, will have to keep it in mind if there is a prompt that I like :) I love the day in the life posts.

This weekend was a very boring but relaxing weekend for me. I enjoyed it! I am almost done watching Fuller House! I have three more episodes to go! They were renewed for a second season. I can't wait to see where it goes. I love the gallery wall!
