Weekend Recap { 4th of July Weekend }

I love Mondays off!!!

This weekend was such a fun weekend! It was nice to have Monday off and enjoy a long weekend because we definitely needed it! Friday night started off with date night! We slacked a lot in June and didn't get a chance to enjoy any date nights really but we sure made up for it this weekend. We kicked off the weekend with dinner at the Ale House, one of our favorite restaurants and sat outside. It was absolutely gorgeous and the breeze it felt amazing! After dinner T and I went home and caught up on all of our recorded shows we had.

Saturday morning we woke up and got a lot of stuff done around the house. We were having another couple over to have a mini pool party and grill out, so we had to blow off the deck, clean the porch, clean our bar area down by the pond and pull weeds. By around lunch time T was ready for a cold beverage and a relaxing day at the pool. We had so much fun and the weather was just gorgeous! We were a little worried when we first woke up but it ended up being a beautiful day!

After we all showered we grilled some filets and had a delicious dinner! We didn't stay up too much later after our late dinner because we were doing it all over again tomorrow to celebrate July 4th...on July 3rd though ;)

Sunday morning came fast and boy was I glad I went to bed pretty early. All four of us woke up and I cooked Cinnamon rolls and we watched shark week until we could go to the gas station and stock up on some adult beverages. (FYI Timmy and I were in the gas station with our beer in hand at 11:59am). Everyone started arriving between 1-2 and although the weather wasn't great for the pool we hung out around the pool listening to music and playing drinking games.

We grilled out hot dogs, hamburgers, had buffalo chicken dip, sausage dip and veggie trays! We had more than enough food and lets just say no one went hungry! Sunday night we all stayed up later than we probably should, but that is usually how it goes when we are all together!

Thank goodness Monday was a holiday! We didn't work but we had a full day ahead of T and I. Some of you may know T got into a wreck last Wednesday night and totaled his truck, so we spent majority of Monday car shopping and I am proud to say T is a brand new owner of a 2016 Silverado! We are headed to the dealership after work to pick it up! We ended our long day with another date night at hibachi!!

Unfortunately I never saw ANY fireworks! Can you believe that! We just never really left the house at night to go see any! But I can cross one more Summer Bucket List task off my list!

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
