Atlanta, GA | 2015

This past weekend my dad, sister, Timmy and I went to Georgia to see Kenny Chesney perform at the Georgia Dome. Well we got there and realized Brantley Gilbert and Chase Rice would be there as well...we already knew Eric Church would be there. This got us even more excited...since Brantley Gilbert is Timmy's absolute favorite country singer and I got to meet Brantley Gilbert when I went to California in 2013!

We left Friday afternoon and headed to Athens to stay with my grandparents and visit with them. It was nice going to see them because I haven't been to there house in GA in a long time. We left around lunchtime to get to Atlanta and check into our hotel room, which was within walking distance of the Georgia Dome.

When we got to The Omni Hotel, we saw a lot of people sitting in the lobby. Unfortunately we were an hour early before check in time and our rooms weren't ready - clearly no ones were. Luckily we had stopped and filled our cooler before so we had a few pregame beverages in the lobby while we waited...a whole hour.

After we were all ready we headed down to the Food Court in our hotel to grab something to eat before the concert and then made our way to The Georgia Dome. As soon as we got there we saw the bus from the American Kids video!

Luckily the concert was inside because it was so hot in GA, probably around 95 degrees. We made our way in and Brantley Gilbert was already playing. We rushed to a side area where we could see him and watched him for about 20 minutes before we found our area where we had tickets. We were in the Sandbar which was so close to the stage and it was amazing! If you ever get the chance to be in the standing area near the stage do it! Our experience was so much fun and I would have hated traveling all that way and sitting in crappy seats.

Sunday morning we all slept in and then met at the Food Court again to eat lunch and then head home. I can't wait to see him again!

You can always tell who is from the south during the summer time! I think I've been to FOUR of his concerts. Every time I drink too many margaritas lol

Looks like your seats were fabulous and it was a great time! I saw Kenny once and he's such an amazing performer - so jealous of those openers though. They are some of my favorites too!

Looks like fun! So jealous that you got to see Kenny. I've always driven through Georgia to get to Florida but I've never really stopped to enjoy it. Looks like a fun place to be. :)
