Ways to Relax After Work


There is nothing better than coming home from a long day at work and just giving yourself some "me time" and relaxing. For me I encourage myself to go to the gym or go on a walk after work, but that may not be for everyone.

  • Take a bubble bath. Light some candles, maybe have a glass of wine and just relax. 
  • Comfy clothes. Usually the first thing I go for are my Lula Roe leggings and an oversized tee. I immediately feel so more relaxed and comfortable...AKA take the bra off!
  • Read a book. If it is cold outside, start a fire and cozy up. My favorite is to go outside during the spring and feel the cool breeze.
  • Workout. This is usually my go to. If your day has been long and stressful nothing is better than getting your mind off than a good sweat sesh.
  • Junk food. You know we all do it; come home and binge on some chocolate or eat lots of pizza. I have a tendency of snacking on the candy from the candy jar. 
  • Watch TV. Relax on the couch and catch up on all the shows you have missed.

  1. I try to workout after work at least 2-3 days a week. The other two days are for reading, cleaning, blogging, etc. :) Thanks for sharing!

  6. I love a good walk around LSU lake. It is so peaceful and relaxing. Next, I love my bubble bath from Avon and aromatherapy bath rocks from Bath and Body works. Thanks for sharing!

  7. I love working out, and sometimes going on a walk helps motivate me to get that sweat sesh in when I don't feel like it right after work. I also like reading some of my favorite blogs after work, because it's fun and I a change from my workday job.

  8. When I was working, after I got home and got kids ready for bed & cleaned up, I always loved watching tv, or listening to music before going to sleep!

  9. This is awesome! Anytime I would get in from work, the first thing I would do was change into some active or lounge clothes. I also looked forward to a relaxing bubble bath in the evening with some wine.

  12. These are all on my relaxing list. The first thing I do is change into my favorite sweats, one of my hubby's tees and take the bra off. I always feel so much more comfortable and relaxed after that!

  16. Yes to all of these! As soon as I can I make sure I am in some comfy clothes and like you said the bra comes off! I just signed up to be a LuLaRoe consultant. I am so excited! I love their clothes! I also enjoy drinking some wine after I get off of work.

  18. Love it! For me these are all great ideas. Typically if I don't have a fitness class after work I get home and have about an hour of, "no you will not turn on your laptop... watch young and the restless, take off your bra and relax before you make dinner" haha I haven't taken a bubble bath in a while. Need to deep clean the tub to be totally relaxed.
