In today's world we have so many things distracting us from our daily tasks, just checking social media alone can take up so much time in one's day. Where do we leave time for the things we actually need to accomplish?
I will be honest, I am a procrastinator and I often let myself get off track when trying to be productive, but these tips have helped me focus and be more productive throughout my day.
MAKE A TO-DO LIST
There is not greater feeling than checking that last thing off your to-do list. I will admit I am the type of person that puts the tiniest of things on my to-do list so I can feel more accomplished, but it helps so much! Keeping a to-do list will really help you make sure you get the things done you absolutely need to get done, instead of that extra errand to the mall or that extra nail appointment you went to instead of picking up your dry cleaning or returning an item you didn't like.
On a busy day at work I spend the first 30 minutes writing down everything I need to get done, then I prioritize them in importance and just work my way down my list throughout the day. It really helps when I am at the 3 p.m. dull part of the day and see I only have a few things on my list, it really gives me that extra burst to complete my to-do list.
SET A ROUTINE
Get used to a routine and stick with it. I try to go workout either at the gym or at home every day M-F, and when I don't and sleep in my whole entire day is off. I have gotten into a routine of waking up early and getting my exercise in that when I don't I feel unproductive and off my game.
PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN
This is probably the hardest one for me. I am constantly on my phone, I know I am working on that, and I feel like I am missing a part of me when I don't have it near me. But having my phone near me and the option to hop on Instagram real quick causes me to be less productive. I take breaks during house chores to check my phone or answer a phone call and it makes things take a lot longer to get done. If you have something you need to get done, put your phone somewhere else and don't check it until you have completed your task - you will get things done a lot faster.
ASK FOR HELP
We may all want to accomplish things on our own but when things get hard and you need help, don't be afraid to call on someone else to help you.
What are some things you do to help you stay productive?

I need to make a point to put my phone away more. I get distracted too easily, and once I get on my phone and start reading something interesting then that's it! My goal this summer is to be more productive, and spend less time on my phone, and more time focusing on the important things!
I am a procrastinator if there ever was one, haha. This is great udea. I like to make list and break them down into grouos, so i don't get overwhelmed.
