Happy Wedding Wednesday! Who has been dont really care dying to see how my wedding invitations ended up? Last week's post gave you a little insight to my vision and what all went wrong in designing the invitations. So let's get to it and see how they turned out!
ISSUE FIVE. Taken care of. When I got the sample invitation and envelope I hated it. The invitation was white, the outer envelope was white, the inner envelope was white and the RSVP envelope was white. It was SO boring. Thankfully my moms best friend helped me come up with some pretty envelopes, so we had the outer and RSVP stay white and then the inner envelope blue and gold!
Addressing by Lulu's Letter Co.
ISSUE ONE, TWO, THREE & FOUR. Taken care of. I went with how I wanted my invitation to look and included my mom on the invitation. It is what she would have wanted. The monogram...I decided to go the traditional route and didn't use our full monogram, just our first initials (it is hard to tell but the initials are embossed and i LOVE it). The color...the gray just wasn't working for me..the blue and gold look 100% better! Then the paper..oh goodness the paper. We used crane paper and it turned out quite lovely, as lovely as paper could get.
SIXTH ISSUE. Taken care of. I compromised. I changed the wording of the accept/decline to the way my grandmother wanted it but didn't take out the song request.
And there you have it. My wedding invitations. They turned out exactly how I wanted them..simple and a southern touch to them.
NEXT WEEK: 3 full days worth of posts about our Honeymoon!
