I don't know about you but I LOVE these elastic hair ties! Not only do they barely leave any crease in my hair, but they also aren't uncomfortable and when they aren't in my hair they look pretty on my wrist!
Wedding season is about to be in full swing! I have been to two weddings this summer and have one coming in October and a bachelorette party in February! So if you are like me and know a few girls getting married, check out these adorable party favors! These are particularly my favorites out of the whole etsy shop!
I know most girls remember to pack hair ties on their bachelorette party vacation, but if you are anything like me you hate wearing a brown or black hair tie on a night when you get all dressed up! My mom used to get on me all the night telling me to take my hair tie off my wrist because it doesn't look nice. But with all sorts of colors and designs it doesn't really interfere with your outfit choice!
So Splashy Designs also has hair ties for every day wear! I love this champagne collection!
Now, everyone has seen the hair ties but it wasn't until I stumbled onto this shop that I knew there were headbands made out of the same material!
So Splashy Designs, doesn't just have hair ties they also have jewelry. I am big fan of druzzy earrings, they are now all the rage. Many high end jewelry designers are making the druzzy style into their collections, but no need to spend $60 on a pair of earrings when they are so much better priced in So Splashy Designs!
Girl Talk: How long have you had your Etsy shop?
So Splashy Designs: I've had my shop for almost 2 years now.
Girl Talk:How did you come up with your name?
So Splashy Designs: The definition of "splashy" is having a bright or exciting quality that attracts attention...that is exactly what I hope my products do for my customers! I also live on an island, so liked the idea of incorporating a water theme :)
Girl Talk: What inspired you to start a business online? Do you sell anywhere other than Etsy?
So Splashy Designs: My daughters (ages 10 and 11) dance group was fundraising for a trip to a dance convention and I was searching for unique ideas for us to create and sell...something the 3 of us could have fun doing together. Enter bracelet hair ties!!!
We had been buying these hair ties in many retail stores, and we loved them. They are soft, comfortable, don't damage your hair, and great to wear on your wrist as a bracelet so you always have hair elastic with you. So we ordered some ribbon to get us started...and then the ideas really started bubbling! What if we added beads, charms, had "cool" colors and patterns for kids and some a little more sophisticated for women?! The options are endless and much more affordable than the ones in stores, and also a much higher quality with heat sealed ends to ensure durability. The hair ties were such a big hit at the fundraiser we decided to keep going! And here we are 2 years later with a wonderful and fun business.
At this time I do not sell anywhere else other than Etsy.
