Keeping with the theme the past two Wedding Wednesdays, this week is all about the Anniversary Dance! Before we got married I was not a big fan of Anniversary Dances because I couldn't participate in them, but now that we are married I love them! I also knew I wanted to have one at our wedding because we ended up getting married the day before my grandparents and they had just celebrated 59 years of marriage, so I knew I wanted to honor them in some way!
When we met with our DJ he loved this idea and would be sure to give a little shout out to them during the anniversary dance, I was pretty sure they would win but I wasn't exactly sure!
Well, it turns out they did win! I just love my grandpas face after he found out he won!
What are your thoughts about anniversary dances?

In theory I LOVE anniversary dances. however, all the grandparents and aunts and uncles in my family have been married and divorced and remarried so we wouldn't have had anyone married longer than Will's parents and his mom begged me not to do it. she didn't want to be the last one up there. We didn't do one because I didn't want her to be uncomfortable.
Awww that's so sweet! We're doing one at our wedding, too!
I didn't even think of an anniversary dance, what a great idea! I'm planning a wedding and may add this to our play list. Thanks for sharing!

This is such a cute idea, I have actually never heard of an anniversary dance, but how sweet that your grandparents won and didn't even realize it :)!
I've never heard of an anniversary dance but now i'm wishing I had of when I got married. What a sweet way to honor the married couples.
Your grandparents are adorable.
Aww! That would be so much fun, and a very sweet way to honor your grandparents, as well!
I've never heard of an anniversary dance but now I'm intrigued!
What song did you play for this? I'm trying to figure out mine and would love some suggestions.

How sweet! I love bringing the family together for moments like this. I'm sure you have so many wonderful memories from that night.
Aww this is so sweet! I had thought about doing an anniversary dance but we had a lot of single/unmarried guests so I didn't know how well it would go over.
I actually have never heard of an anniversary dance before! How sweet!
