Christmas 2017

I can't believe I am already recapping Christmas 2017. It seems like just the other day I was planning my content for the Christmas season and poof now it is gone!

We had a busy, busy Christmas! But every year we do, so it wasn't much different. We kept the same schedules as we have since we got married and it seems to be a pretty good schedule where we get to see both of our families!

This year with Christmas Eve falling on a Sunday, I was able to spend some more time with my family since I didn't have to work that day. Years it falls on a week day I usually work in the AM and then rush to my families house then to Timmy's families house after, so it was very nice to be on a slower pace.

First we started Christmas Eve with my dad and did our presents a little early since he was leaving to go to Winston that night. My dad gave me an Apple Watch which I am loving! If you have and tips or tricks - send them my way!

My sister and I then went over to my grandmother's house around lunch time and visited with them for a little and snacked way too much, but isn't that what the Holidays are all about? I go to my grandma's during the day on Christmas Eve since Timmy and I go over to his families house that night. Timmy's family Christmas Eve is so fun, there are a good amount of us and we all bring a Dirty Santa present! This year Timmy and I brought a crock-pot and a Tile Key Finder and we ended up going home with both of those gifts, so that is a winner for us!

Christmas morning came super early and I was scrambling to get everything together and packed in the car since we were leaving that day for our 7 day trip away from home. We started the morning off with Timmy's brothers and dad, where the pups got to enjoy some Christmas treats!

After we made a mess of my father-in-law's house we cleaned up and headed over to my grandma's house to make another mess! We opened presents and helped my grandma in the kitchen for Christmas lunch.

After we ate lunch and dessert, it was time for Timmy and I to hit the road and head to Winston Salem to visit with my other grandmother. This year she also decided to do Dirty Santa and Timmy and I walked away with a heated blanket (YASSS) and a Hickory Farms sausage and cheese box (YUM). After a long day it was finally time to go to bed and we couldn't wait!

Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year and it just goes by way too fast! I can't wait for Christmas to get here next year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got to spend it with your loved ones!

That sounds like a busy but such an enjoyable Christmas celebration! Holidays are totally all about family time and over eating haha! It is awesome that you got your gifts back and then also scored a heated blanket! How do you like the tile key? I have an apple watch and I am in love with it! If you are in the market for bands, check on Amazon! I hope your 2018 is off to a good start!

I got my sister a tile key finder because she is always losing her keys and it was actually such a fun but practical gift! Looks like you had a great Christmas!

It does sound like a great christmas! I'd be happy if I picked out great gifts for Dirty Santa and ended up going home with them! :)
