October Stitch Fix: Fix #1

My first Stitch Fix is here!! For the people who don't know what Stitch Fix is, let me tell you about this awesome company! Basically Stitch Fix delivers clothes right to your front door. When you sign up (use this link) you will be prompted to fill out a styling profile and picking a delivery date (you can choose how often you want your fix to come). The styling profile will include filling out your sizes, how you like your clothes to fit, and what type of outfits you like. The picture below is one of my style profiles they asked me to rate with love it, like it, don't really like it, hate it.

You then pay a $20 styling fee, which will be applied as a credit on the clothes that you do decide to keep from your shipment. Stitch Fix will send you 5 items per shipment, it will be clothing or accessories (you can specify which you would like to have, and which items you would not like to receive). Once you receive your shipment you can try on all the items in your own home, decide what you like and what you don't like. Keep what you want and send back what you don't want in a pre-paid envelope. If you keep all 5 of your items you will receive a 25% discount.

I love the fact that I can try on all the clothes sent to me at my own house and try them on with different outfits. Whenever I am shopping I am always wishing I wore different clothes to see if the shirt or pant or jewelry I am trying on will go with something in my closet. Also, you can earn credits with referrals. You only pay when you get a fix, there is no monthly fee.

Here is what I got in my first box, let me know what you think I should keep and what I should send back!

Jimmy Ankle Length Skinny Jean — $88.00

My First Impression: I have too many jeans.

Impression After Trying it On: I didn't take any pictures of these jeans because I knew I didn't want to spend $88 on a pair of jeans when I already have so many jeans. I tried them on and they were very comfortable and I loved the wash of the jeans but they were a little big and I wasn't in love with them.

Status: SENT BACK

Alexander Graphic Knit Drape Front Cardigan — $68.00

My First Impression: I love it! It would be perfect for a Fall night out with jeans and some boots.

Impression After Trying it On: I love the feel of this cardigan. The only thing that annoyed me was trying to get the front part to lay correctly and look okay while wearing it. But once I got it fixed I really enjoyed it.

Status: KEPT

Dash Button-Front Chambray Shirt — $74.00

My First Impression: I like it, but I already have one that is almost identical from Old Navy last year for about $25.00

Impression After Trying it On: I didn't try this one on because I didn't want to fall in love with it because I already have one.

Status: SENT BACK

Magdalena Raglan Knit Sweater — $54.00

My First Impression: I love the color and I love the back - it is crochet and you can see my back. I don't have anything this burgundy color.

Impression After Trying it On: Did not like this sweater one bit. I felt very uncomfortable in this sweater because it was too short in the front - I like my sweaters big and loose. This just wasn't doing anything for my body - and you could see my belt poking through.

Status: SENT BACK

Shara Herringbone Vest with Black Piping — $78.00

My First Impression: OMG- I have been wanting a vest like this since I saw the one at J Crew. This was going to be kept no matter what, even before I saw the price.

Impression After Trying it On: Yes I am still in love! It was a perfect fit and I love how it looked on me.

Staus: KEPT

Overall I really loved my experience with Stitch Fix and I can't wait for my box next month! If you are interested, click this link to the Stitch Fix website and schedule your first fix today!
