Liebster Award
This little space of mine has grown so much in the last few months and I have been nominated for the Liebster Award by the lovely Amanda, Rowan and Taylor! I decided to take a few questions from each person and answer them all in one post! Thanks so much for the nomination!
1.) What is the inspiration you have to keep you motivated daily?
My mom. When I feel unmotivated to do something I think about how busy she was and how she still put my sister and I first before everything. I think back to what she would have said to me if I had spent the entire day just laying around.
2.) What is ONE thing you could NOT live without?
Honestly...my phone. I know totally cliche but I really could not live without my phone...especially in those really awkward moments when you pretend to be on the phone to avoid someone.
3.) What is your favorite food? Favorite candy?
My favorite food is hibachi food - LOVE the white sauce! And my favorite candy is 100 Grand Bars.
4.) If you won $1 million in the lottery, what would you do with it?
Love that this was a question because my best friend and I were just talking about this the other day. We were talking a lot less money about $10,000 but we said we would blow some of it and then put the rest into savings. I would probably spend about $3,000 all on Lilly Pulitzer clothes and then pay off all my student loans, my car and pay off the house Timmy and I are living in for my dad.
5.) If you had 3 wishes, what would they be?
1- My mom to be alive.
2- To have time during the day to get everything done I want to get done.
3- Meet the Backstreet Boys!
6.) What is something you do when you need to take time for yourself?
Lately, I have been going to the gym but shopping always helps too!
7.) What are you currently watching or reading?
I am not a big reader but I am currently re-watching all of Friends on Netflix!\
8.) What is it that you love the most about blogging?
I have really loved the support I have gotten from people I don't even know. I have felt the most comfortable in this little blogging world and feel like I can really be myself.
9.) What is your favorite scripture?
Revelation 21:4
"and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; for the old order of things have passed away."
I would probably be OKAY without TV but the Internet thing...I would probably loose my mind.
11.) What is one country in the world you would like to visit? Why?
I am dying to visit Italy. I am not sure why I just love the look and feel of Italy!

#SevenDaysHealthy
So one of my favorite bloggers Helene over at Helene in Between started doing a Seven Days Healthy series and I absolutely love it. The idea is to get healthier by adding one healthy habit to your routine every seven days. I think adding a healthy habit every seven days is a great way to get healthier because there have been countless times when I have told myself I am going to go on a walk everyday, I am going to do ab exercises everyday or I am going to drink x amount of water everyday and I maybe do them all for like 2 days then start dwindling off and end up doing none of them. So I am going to join Helene and hold myself accountable by checking in with yall and letting you know how each week went and what my goal for the next week will be! I started yesterday so my 7 days will run from Friday-Thursday and will update my progress every Saturday or Sunday.
My goal this week: Drink 64oz of water every day. Ever since I got my FitBit I have been doing pretty well on my water intake. I usually drink about 64oz 3 days a week, but these next 7 days I am going to challenge myself to drink 64oz everyday!
Also, I am giving away another Ad spot this month! It will run the entire month!

Throwback High School Edition + A GIVEAWAY
Well, it has been 5 years since I graduated High School at St. David's School in Raleigh, NC. It was a fantastic school and I wish I had stayed closer with some of my high school friends after we graduated. You always say at graduation "Oh we will always be friends!" but the truth is that is never the case - some of my best friends 5 years ago are just people that I see on Facebook or see out in Raleigh but don't really keep up with on a constant basis. There are 4 girls that I talk to on about a daily/weekly basis that I have remained best friends with since high school..but only 2 of them went to my high school. These 4 girls will be standing beside me on my big day on November 21, 2015 - Leslie, Paige, Chelsea and Rachel (Leslie and Chelsea went to my high school).
I have changed a lot since I graduated high school. I am more independent, more confident and less physically active(I'm working on that!) but I have maintained to stay true to who I am and haven't changed my personality or the person I strive to be since high school. This weekend we will all come together for our 5 year High School reunion - should be a fun little get together and bring back some good memories!
Let's go back in time and look at some of the old school days.
