2nd Annual Beer Olympics

This past weekend we had the 2nd Annual Beer Olympics for Cystic Fibrosis. Timothy and I are hiking 20+ miles in October to raise awareness and money for research for CF! Last year we hosted Beer Olympics for CF for the first time and we had so much fun we decided to do it again! Last year we made it through maybe 2 or 3 games, this year I had some help planning it and I am pretty sure we completed most of the games!

We raised over $500 this year! Timothy and I have a fundraising goal of $5,000 as a couple. After I add the $500 from Beer Olympics we have raised a total of $745 so far! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!

On the blog in efforts to spread the word I am offering a promotion of AD spots if you donate to our cause. As a thank you for your donation you will receive an Ad spot on Girl Talk equaling the amount of your donation! Please help Timothy and I reach our goal and help fund the research for CF!

For Beer Olympics we had 8 teams. Ireland, USA, Bahamas (my team), Congo, Columbia, Cuba, Germany & England.

We played a lot of games...Flip Cup, Beer Pong, Trash Pong, Beer Ball, Salsa Tray Race, Ice Cube Tray Race & Volume Chug.

It was very difficult to get everything organized but we had some amazing judges and they helped a lot! I don't think we ever finished every game but I am pretty sure team USA won.

How was your weekend?

  1. What a great idea for such an important cause- I just lost someone to CF this past weekend, but I'm happy to see people raising money for this.

    1. Oh I am so sorry to hear that, losing someone is very hard! My cousin is 15 and has CF. The doctors just told us last week he would be able to be put on Orkambi, the new drug that was just approved a few weeks ago. This will hopefully add years to his life.
