Weekend Recap: Checking One Thing off at a time

This was a weekend for the books. We added another concert to our list, tried a new restaurant and celebrated St. Patrick's day. All in one weekend. This weekend was slammed pack but we enjoyed it!

Friday started off with a short day at work! Man I love half days but sometimes they just seem to take the longest to get through! But I made it and by about 3:30 we were all on our way to see Garth Brooks at PNC Arena! This has been a concert Timmy has wanted to go to since he was little and so when I heard Garth would be in Raleigh I was very skeptical I would even be able to get tickets for a decent price but I tried. And well it paid off because after about 20 minutes I had gotten 2 tickets and spent about $120 and I thought that was a steal!

After we bought our tickets we found out 4 of our really good friends also got tickets for the same Friday night show (he came Friday, Saturday & Sunday) and we could ride with them! Worked out perfectly! We picked up bojangles just like we do before any country concert because...duh that is a necessity! Headed to PNC and started tailgating. Luckily we got there in plenty of time because we had a prime parking spot right up front!

If you ever get a chance to go to a Garth Brooks concert I would highly recommend it! He is a great performer and his songs are just wonderful!

After the concert we went straight to bed and woke up early to start our day on Saturday. Saturday was another filled day. Timmy was helping our friends Erin and Jay move into their new townhouse and I had a full morning of chores around the house. By about 12 Timmy made it back home with a meatball sub from Jersey Mikes and we got ready for the St. Patrick's Day street party we were going to later that afternoon.

We left around 3 and when we got to downtown it was packed at the Street Party. Almost too packed that we were going to go to another bar but we ended up waiting it out and it thinned out around 5ish.

We ended up having a blast, they had music, food and good drinks! By about 7:30 we were over the crowd so we left and went to one of my favorite mexican restuarants, Dos Taquitos. We ate and then it was time for all of us to head home!

Sunday was a lazy morning, we slept in, missed the hour we lost and caught up on our shows. We ended up going out to lunch Sunday and trying a new restaurant we had been wanting to try! We finally made it to Buffalo Brothers and it was so good!

Then we went to family dinner at our friends house, ate way too much and went straight to sleep!

My goodness you had a busy weekend! :o
It sounds like it was a lot of fun, though. I bet that half Friday really helped get you in the mood for a big one. I could deal with eternal half-Fridays. For sure. :P
