Weekend Recap {First Pool Day of the Summer}

Can anyone believe it is Monday already?? I don't know where the weekend went, it went by way too fast! This weekend was super hot outside so we made sure we stayed cool in the pool!

Friday night we headed to dinner to celebrate one of my friends birthday! Our plan was to eat dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Mason Jar, but even though Erin had made reservations for us they did not have any room for us when we got there. So we headed down the street to another restaurant and ate dinner there!

It was a big group of us and we had so much fun celebrating the birthday girl! We ate dinner and had a few drinks before we headed home.

Saturday was a fun day! We spent our first weekend of June floating at my dads pool! We were a little worried about the weather in the afternoon at first, but it turned out to be a beautiful Saturday!

My sister came and brought us all lunch from Groucho's. If you have a Groucho's near you (I think they are in NC & SC) you should go get a sandwich from them and get their Formula 45 Sauce, it is seriously to die for!

Opie also got to experience his first swim! I don't know if it was because it was first time in the pool swimming or if he just really doesn't like the water, but he was not too big of a fan. But we are going to keep working on him this summer!

We spent all day at the pool, just soaking up the sun! It was a good first pool day of the summer and we plan to be there a lot this summer!

Saturday night, we decided to go to 42nd Street Oyster Bar for a late dinner. This is one of our favorite Seafood restaurants in Raleigh. We all enjoyed some crab legs and some good seafood. We filled our bellies then went straight home to bed. We were exhausted from the sun and stuffed!

Sunday morning we slept in until about 9am and were just starting to get up and moving when all of our power went out. We looked outside and the sun was shining, so we weren't sure what was going on. Turns out, AT&T had been digging in our yard a few weeks earlier and cut one of our lines and our power was out for a couple of hours. But we used it to our advantage and went and ran a few errands and had an ice cream day date!

We went to Cold Stone Creamery and had some delicious ice cream! By the time we got home our power was said to be back on, but when we got home it wasn't and the workers were gone. You could probably guess Timothy was not happy. But after a few switches and waiting about 30 minutes our power was back on! We spent the rest of the day lounging around and watching Netflix. We did our typical Sunday tradition and ordered in Italian and went to bed!

Now that summer is almost here, most of our weekends will be like this and we are so excited!

What did you do this weekend??

A pool day sounds perfect! Saturday was crappy weather here but Sunday was so nice. Maybe soon we can have a beach day.

Such a great weekend!

I can only be jealous, haha. Living in the Netherlands has its disadvantages. :)
