Saturday was the day we went to way too many bars...but it was so much fun!! We went to about 11 bars from about 3pm-11pm. Timmy, my dad, Brittany and I had so much fun and are planning another bar crawl...but not for awhile!
Before the bar crawl Friday night Timmy and I had date night. We went to one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Fuquay, Garibaldi Trattoria, where one of Timmy's best friends works on the weekends. We enjoyed some cocktails and a delicious meal full of carbs to prepare us for Saturday.
Saturday, I had to get up really early for the Time Warner Cable tech to come and install those adapters on the TVs without boxes. My plan was to go back to sleep after he left, but you know once you get up and moving it is hard to go back to sleep...so instead I went on a 6 mile walk. It was glorious and I was keeping a good pace..I was pretty proud of myself.
After Timmy and I ate a light snack and watched some TV and got ready, my dad was at the house and we were ready to crawl! We started at a bar and grill to get some food fuel and then hit Fayetteville Street. We bar hopped the rest of the day and into the night and before we knew it we were all ready/needed to go home. Friday, I had bought a selfie stick and I enjoyed it way too much. I love that thing! I don't care about the looks I get, it came in handy! We went to almost all the bars on the list - except 2 (The Hive & Downtown Slims) - we may have added in a few along the way but I think we did about 12 bars - we added Rum Runners and a place called Royals or something like that (it was next to the Architect). We all found some really cool bars we had never been to..and day drinking is so much better than going out downtown at night. We were actually able to sit at the bar or sit on the patio. Sunday it was a much needed recovery day. Luckily the weather was great and Brittany and I laid out. It was so hot though so a fan was necessary. I don't know why I didn't think of it before but it seriously saved us from the heat.
