Saturday was the day we went to way too many bars...but it was so much fun!! We went to about 11 bars from about 3pm-11pm. Timmy, my dad, Brittany and I had so much fun and are planning another bar crawl...but not for awhile!
Before the bar crawl Friday night Timmy and I had date night. We went to one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Fuquay, Garibaldi Trattoria, where one of Timmy's best friends works on the weekends. We enjoyed some cocktails and a delicious meal full of carbs to prepare us for Saturday.
Saturday, I had to get up really early for the Time Warner Cable tech to come and install those adapters on the TVs without boxes. My plan was to go back to sleep after he left, but you know once you get up and moving it is hard to go back to sleep...so instead I went on a 6 mile walk. It was glorious and I was keeping a good pace..I was pretty proud of myself.
After Timmy and I ate a light snack and watched some TV and got ready, my dad was at the house and we were ready to crawl! We started at a bar and grill to get some food fuel and then hit Fayetteville Street. We bar hopped the rest of the day and into the night and before we knew it we were all ready/needed to go home. Friday, I had bought a selfie stick and I enjoyed it way too much. I love that thing! I don't care about the looks I get, it came in handy! We went to almost all the bars on the list - except 2 (The Hive & Downtown Slims) - we may have added in a few along the way but I think we did about 12 bars - we added Rum Runners and a place called Royals or something like that (it was next to the Architect). We all found some really cool bars we had never been to..and day drinking is so much better than going out downtown at night. We were actually able to sit at the bar or sit on the patio. Sunday it was a much needed recovery day. Luckily the weather was great and Brittany and I laid out. It was so hot though so a fan was necessary. I don't know why I didn't think of it before but it seriously saved us from the heat.

Sounds like you had a fun weekend! BTW, don't you love selfie sticks?! I swore I wasn't going to get one, but we'd gone on vacation and broke down and got one - and now I love it!!!

Haha how fun! We have a few organized bar crawls in our city...and we're doing a "food tour" next month with a similar idea!

That sounds like so much fun! When I was in college there was a massive organized pub crawl twice a year with thousands of people. It was absolute madness and SO much fun!

Yea we have some city bar crawls as well! They are fun but I liked making my own because it wasn't crowded and I could pick the bars we went to! Planning was half the fun!

I know! I am so thankful I have a dad that does these types of things with me. Too be honest he will usually hang out with me and my friends on some weekends and other weekends I will hang out with him and his friends!
Oh I miss those days! My husband would kill me if I broke out a selfie stick but my toddler would love it!

Looks like a super fun weekend! You got plenty of workout done... love champagne, it is my favorite cause it is low calorie and you don't get that morning hangover if you happen to have a bit more than your limit.. lol

you and your dad totally look alike!!! People tell me I look like my dad, too. he always says I got my "good looks" from him haha. a 6 mile walk sounds amazing! I wish there was scenery here in AZ so I could walk for 6 miles and not just have to stare at cactus and dirt, woo!
