First Lake Trip of 2018

This weekend we had our first lake trip of 2018 and it was a good one! Friday after work Timmy, myself and our friend Lindsey along with the 2 pups made the 3 hour drive to Lake Norman to start our weekend of sun and fun!

Football Tailgating Essentials

We are right smack dab in the middle of football season and I couldn't be more happier - not only does football season mean tailgating with friends but it also means Fall is here! No matter the team you are pulling for, tailgating is half the fun! Unfortunately my alma mater did not have a football team but luckily I live in the heart of Raleigh where NC State Football is HUGE and us Meredith girls, love us some Wolfpack!

Girls night is always a good idea! Leave the boyfriend, hubby, significant other to do whatever they do when you aren't around and get together with your girls! Girls nights out can be fun, but sometimes doing your hair and make up isn't so why not show up in some sweats and have a night in with your best gal pals!

Paint Night

Y'all have you ever done a wine and design or a paint night with your girlfriends?? Well if you haven't you should! Last night I went to a Paint Night with one my best friends, Whitney, hosted at a local bar and it was a blast! This was my first time so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it exceeded all my expectations!

Monday, go away. I want to be back on the river floating with my friends! It was definitely hard to get up this Monday morning after the weekend we had. Ever since we went  river floating last summer for Leslie's birthday I have been dying to go again! And this weekend we made it happen!

July 4th shenanigans

Well, thank goodness for a short week! Let me tell you it was hard going back to work on Wednesday after having majority of Monday and all of Tuesday off for the 4th of July. But we really took advantage of the beautiful weather we had and had pool day after pool day!

This past weekend one of my best friends got married! This was the first wedding I was a bridesmaid in and it was so much fun getting to experience all the fun moments with Erin on her wedding weekend and throughout the entire wedding planning process!!

Snow Day 2017

When Northcarolinians hear on the news that there will be snow, we somewhat freak out. The weather was calling for multiple outcomes before the winter storm came we really weren't sure of what was going to happen. There were some reports our area, which is Raleigh, could get 4-6 inches of snow, some places 12 inches and some said it could miss us. We really weren't sure of what was going to happen, but all the milk and bread were gone from the grocery stores by Wednesday morning.

NYE 2016

We are on DAY SIX of 2017...can you believe it. I honestly can't. It seems like just yesterday I was  graduating college in 2013. But time doesn't stand still and somehow we have begun 2017. And let me tell you, did we have fun ringing in the New Year!

The Last Time I Was in Florida with the Girls

Well I am off to a short little vacay with the girls this weekend! I headed to Florida to meet up with my favorite girls yesterday! I have been to Florida a few times- the time we got  engaged and for a vacation for Chelsea's 21st birthday! Well I am meeting back up with my girls for another girls weekend and I am so excited!

Family Dinner: February 2016

Back in December we had some of our closest friends come over for a Sunday dinner after we got back from our Honeymoon. It was the first time we had really seen anyone since the wedding and it was just a small group and we had the best of time. That night we decided to continue the tradition and get together every Sunday night for dinner at someones house. We have done pretty well with keeping this little tradition we started, I have hosted 2 times now and the cycle has started over. Even though we are usually always together on a Friday or Saturday night it is nice to have our family Sunday dinners just to relax and hang out, rather than taking shots together and waking up with headaches.
